To combat afternoon fatigue, this smoothie has been my tried and true.
My upcoming book, “The Shape of Us,” features the weight-loss-friendly version of the recipe. Today’s version is more substantial. Perfect for a meal-on-the-run, afternoon pick-me-up or morning coffee replacement.

- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- Espresso shot
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 Tbs each: ground flax, chia seeds, and unsweetened cocoa
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
Place all ingredients in blender to mix thoroughly and enjoy a healthy, delicious, mocha-like-frozen meal or snack. Only 350 calories!
